Pre Intermediate

This English course is designed for those who have some ability to use the English Language and can converse with simple sentences but can have difficulty translating or understanding spoken English.


In this course we will build upon the current use of English Language that you have. It will help you improve your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. It will help you in everyday Social situations to understand everyday expressions and phrases. Learn to engage in Social Situations with clear and simple use of the English Language.


In order to provide the best program each term for all ESOL classes, including variations to Student Demand, we may change advertised course times. All students enrolled will be notified of these changes.



If you are a NZ Citizen or Resident, there is a discount available to you provided you can commit to attending 80% of the course. If you are unable to attend 80% due to work or other commitments, then you will be charged the portion of the non-resident rate according to what you can attend.


If you have made payments to NZ Immigration as part of your Visa application we are able to cover your course cost by accessing these funds on your behalf.


You will need to bring in your passport and a copy of your Residency/Visa status to complete the enrolment.


Any English for Migrants from Foundation, Beginners or Elementary Level.  You may be required to sit a short test to evaluate your level before entering this course.
