English for those can use words in correct way but struggle to converse with full sentences or expressing their ideas in English.


This course is designed for those that have understood the basic phrases in everyday language and are wishing to build on what they have learnt or understand.  Learners will start to understand and be introduced to English grammar and the formation of sentences and structure in their simpliest form.  Learn reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. 


In order to provide the best program each term for all ESOL classes, including variations to Student Demand, we may change advertised course times.  All students enrolled will be notified of these changes.


If you are a NZ citizen or Resident, this course is discounted for you provided you can commit to attending 80% of the course.  If you are unable to attend 80% due to work or other commitments, then you will be charged the portion of the non resident rate according to what you can attend.


If you have made payments to NZ Immigration as part of your Visa application, we are able to cover your course cost by accessing these funds on your behalf.


Completion of the Foundation and/or the Beginners class.  Students may enter at this level if they show a level of compentency in English to complete this course.

You may be required to undergo a short placement test to ensure you are placed in the correct level for you.
